Joe Cool came to the shelter as a stray from Enfield. He tested positive for FIV, but that doesn't mean he can't live a pretty darn normal life. He is more susceptible to standard kitty illnesses, so he should not go home with a non-FIV cat. If a normally healthy cat becomes sick, s/he will recover in a short time; if Joe Cool catches the same illness, he would likely be much sicker, and what a healthy cat sheds easily might mean the end of poor Joe. But, if you already have an FIV-positive cat, Joe would make a wonderful companion for him or her, and he would be delighted to have a play pal. Joe is ALWAYS plopped in a volunteers lap and would love to find an owner with an open lap too! Come in and meet this wonderful cat today!
